You want and need to have your manuscript or book proposal as error-free as you can make it before you submit it to a publisher or agent.

| Copy Editing | Have your manuscript edited according to The Chicago Manual of Style for sentence structure, grammatical problems, punctuation, and typographical errors. You may choose from having your manuscript copy edited electronically (Microsoft Word files only) or manually (submit a double-spaced print copy). If you choose an electronic copy edit, you must know how to work the "Track Changes" feature in Word. |
| Proofreading | Have the final pages (galleys/page proofs) of your self-published book proofread for typographical errors and design problems before you publish. Print copies only. |
| Writing Coach & Mentor | Need someone to read and review your manuscript, coaching and advising you on every step of the way to completion? A writing coach and mentor can be the key to keeping you motivated and on track with your writing project. This service assists you through all phases of your writing project: focus, research advising, outlining, consultations (by phone or e-mail), developmental editing, copy editing, and writing the book proposal. |
